Cllr Cartwright

TREVOR CARTWRIGHT has lent his support to a petition for a pedestrian crossing on Warsash Road, near the village centre.

It was raised by local resident Cheryl Glee, who feared for the safety of pedestrians and children from Brookfield School who have to cross this busy road. Cheryl collected over 500 names for the petition which Councillor Cartwright will present to the next full meeting of the Borough Council.

Councillor Cartwright said: “The petition will be passed to Hampshire County Council for its consideration and I hope there will be a satisfactory conclusion this time.” Three previous attempts to get a crossing were rejected.
